The exciting news this week is that after many hours of cherry pitting, the Sour Cherry Turnovers are here at last. We’ll have them at the market on Sat. along with Large Meringues, individual Spanish Frittatas, Pastrami Bourekas, two kinds of Focaccia Pizzas and our long list of other items below. Hope you have a wonderful last long weekend of summe

Saturdays at the market, the all-time favourite for the guys out there (for some reason?): Cheese and Blueberry Danishes, buttery crust, not too sweet, with a touch of honey...Like all our pastries, these are phenomenal warmed up for a few minutes in a toaster-oven on Sunday mornings. They also freeze well. . .

The Amazing Israeli Tuna Sandwich, served on our hand-made Rosemary Focaccia bun, Wed.-Fri., 11 am. - 2 pm., either in our bistro at The Cannery, or for take-out

This Saturday I’ll be baking the Multigrain Boule for the market, along with our usual fare, including Almond Croissants, and Focaccia Pizzas (try them by the slice as well). Parking at the Guerard’s parking lot is free (take Ellis to Nanaimo, turn left, then right onto Backstreet Blvd.). As always, the Jewish Rye is available on Thursdays and Fridays at The Cannery.
