This Sat., for the ultimate Pastrami Boureka experience at the market, we will be offering a combo of ice-cold (non-alcoholic) beer and a boureka for $10 (of course for $9. any of the other bourekas will go well with the beer??). I’ll also be bringing more of our popular Spicy Pickle jars, made with Farmer Steve’s cukes. Don't forget that the ITU Penticton Competition is happening this Sat., so before heading to the market, please double check routes and where parking is available. We’ll be at our market stall on Front St. until 3 pm. because of road closures, though we’re not sure how much food we’ll have left by the afternoon. Good luck to all the competitors!

Baklawa! Today at The Cannery and also at the Sat. market on Front St.

I will be baking Mushroom Quiches at The Cannery this Thursday, with Creminis, Portobellos, Cheddar and Asiago, on a whole wheat crust (take one home or have it with a salad in the bistro). We'll have it hot by the slice at the market on Sat., and a few frozen ones to take home as well.

On Saturday I’ll have the crusty Beer Boules at the market (made with caramelized onions and spent barley from the Tin Whistle Brewery)

I felt the need to create something new this week to add to the Sat. market lineup: individual, muffin-size Spanish Tortillas (a.k.a. Frittatas), which are gluten free and made with potatoes, onions, Chorizo sausage, Manchego cheese, saffron and smoked paprika, served hot, alongside the slices of Provencal Quiche and Focaccia Pizzas, and of course our Hot Boureka Smorg, below, including the Smoked-Pastrami this wknd
